Black widow? Louisa to prosecute case of alleged backyard killer
The woman who has already admitted to burying her husband in their Amelia County backyard in 1994 now faces 22 new charges including first-degree murder for that man's death and for the death of her boyfriend whose body was later found in a well on a Louisa property occupied by the couple, the Newsplex, NBC29, and the Times-Dispatch report.
Ulisa Chavers, 61, sentenced to five years in prison back in February for concealing the body of boyfriend Reginal Cody Bowles, is now facing a murder rap in his death as well as the death of husband Clent Chavers. Amelia County authorities allowed Louisa to take the lead and prosecute both alleged crimes. In neither case was a cause of death revealed.
