If you haven't already, make sure to make your reservations for Restaurant Week....soon!Dave McNairRestaurant Week officially kicked off on Monday, January 21, and Dish popped into the Melting Pot to see how it was going. Manager Jonathan Shields said the combination of it being MLK Day and Restaurant Week brought a steady stream of folks in on a cold, typically slow Monday evening. Indeed, it looked like a Thursday or Friday when we popped in.
"It was lovely," says Claire Sleap (far left, first photo above), an Australian-born marketing pro with Jefferson Ridge Apartments who tried the Melting Pot for the first time with two friends. "I was hesitant at first, having to cook our own food, but it was a fun social experience, fun to get messy with everyone."
Over at the C&O Restaurant the mezzanine behind the soap stone stove was packed, and the famed reservation book was full.
