Bill --

Beautiful shot.

FYI: I have a real estate agent's listing for Rev. James Fife's Oak Lawn, of which Forest Hills Park was part, from 1866 or '67. Among other attributes, the agent notes:

"This farm contains 340 acres of land. One third of it is in wood-land, 75 acres of which is original growth consisting of Red, White and Black Oak, Hickory & Pine. The remaining 35 acres consist of second growth pine."

I expect that tree remembers those days.

Nice place for a botanical garden

Need to cut that tree down it blocks my view of the blue ridge
