Allied wall lines: Concrete company readies with Redi-Rock

After just a couple of days, a planned display area for bulk materials at Allied Concrete has already made a visible impact on Harris Street.

The retaining walls are going up as fast as Legos because they're assembled with Redi-Rock, a modular concrete component for which Allied has exclusive right to manufacture and sell. Such high-profile installations as the nTelos Wireless Pavilion and the Old Trail community in Crozet feature Allied Redi-Rock.

"We're making the flow a lot nicer over here," says Allied inside sales rep Katie Dunkum, noting that many customers must currently drive back behind the plant for bulk material pick-ups. "We're kind of giving ourselves a facelift."

The new facility is slated to open by the end of April, Dunkum says.

Gotta keep the guys busy doing somethin.

Do the McNeelys still own Allied?

Allied has always stayed on the cutting edge. Their customer service is unsurpassed and their material prices are always competitive. Additionally, Allied goes out of their way to buy American products. If you are in the market for the services they offer, please do business with them. They are an asset to our community.

yes, what Casey Keenen said!

Is this one of those paid advertisements? Competitive prices? Allied has been 20% higher than anyone in the state because they owned all of their competition (HT Ferron, Cavalier, New Canton and CR Butler). Thank Wilson Ready Mix and Skyline Brick for bringing true competition to the area.
