Illuminating: They might be... dissing me

Brooklyn-based duo They Might Be Giants performed what we think was their sixth Charlottesville concert since we began keeping score in 1990. Along the way, they penned a tune about one of the local venues, Starr Hill, and this was their first time at the Jefferson Theater. One personally curious moment came when one half the duo, John Flansburgh, shined a spotlight on this attendee up in the balcony and called him "Stale Pot Smoke." Musta been the elbow-patched tweed sportcoat.
