I remember how the courageous men and women at SNL Financial watched TVs in various offices and bemoaned how much money they stood to lose while the markets were closed as a result of the attacks in the Financial District. Nauseating.

How much has been lost? Surely you jest. The list goes on and on and on. But I'll just relate one right we have lost as a result. The right to habeas corpus. Brought to us under the guise of the Patriot Act. Of course if your one who is not familiar with Habeas corpus don't fret, ignorance is bliss. Your world is just fine.

Lets talk about what's been gained:
An awareness that our freedoms come with :

COSTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OR WE WILL BE A TARGET FOREVER.

OIL AINT CHEAP AND THE WORLD AINT OURS

Show me one person who has been violated under the patriot act. Like I guessed, you can't.

@Just saying- thank you!

Not that its worth replying to, its not, but for "Just Saying's" benefit, under the Patriot Act you would know the difference. Get it ? Probably not.

Mow- "not that it's worth replying to"......but, please name one person....................

Locking up people for months or years at Guantanamo, only to be let out with a "Sorry, wrong guy," doesn't bother you idiots?

G- not at all- especially with the reported recidivism rate of those retrained. Recidivism for someone who did nothing would be them doing the same when they got out- well, that isn't happening.
